“To put things in perspective” IBPS exam 2017 conducted for the posts of Probationary Officer and Clerk is a window for aspirants wanting to enter into a career in banking in India. The growth and development of banking internationally has led to a number of employment opportunities in the Indian banking sector.

 

To improve its position internationally the Indian banking community relies on the recruitment of skilled personnel. This recruitment of skilled personnel is facilitated by the Institute of Banking Personnel Services Exam. Presently IBPS exam is accepted by as many as 22 nationalized banks and an equal number of regional and rural banks for the recruitment of personnel. This autonomous agency accepts exam applications from aspirants for its all India Common Written Exam (CWE). 

 

This independent board conducts exams for following cadres namely,

  1. A) CWE PO/MT for the post of Probationary Officer and Management Trainee
  2. B) CWE Clerk for clerical posts (clerk vacancies)
  3. C) CWE for Specialist Officers (officers for specialist officers)
  4. D) RRB Officer (for selection of officers and officers in regional/rural banks) governed by NABARD.

 

While the exams were conducted once every six months they are no longer done so as per the latest notification. Exams for the post of Clerk and Probationary Officer are conducted once a year.

 

Eligibility for IBPS 2017 Exam

CWE PO/MT for the post of Probationary Officer and Management Trainee

  • Age: 20-30 years of age
  • Educational Qualification: Degree (Graduation) 

CWE Clerk for clerical posts (clerk vacancies)

  • Age: 18-27 years of age
  • Educational Qualification: Degree (Graduation) 

CWE for Specialist Officers (officers for specialist officers)

  • Age for Scale I posts: 20-30 years
  • Age for Scale II posts: 20-35 years
  • Educational Qualification: Graduation or post-graduation in relevant stream from recognized university with minimum 60 % (55% for SC/ST)

 

RRB Officer (for selection of officers and officers in regional/rural banks)

  • Age for Officer Scale I: 18-28 years of age.
  • Age for Officer Scale II: 21-32 years of age.
  • Age for Officer Scale III: 21-40 years of age.
  • Educational Qualification: Graduation or post-graduation in relevant stream from recognized university with minimum 60 % (55% for SC/ST)

IBPS Registration / Application Form

If you’re going with online application, then make sure that you have duly scanned your photograph and signature. 

  • The reason for this; the online application form should be filled within 20 minutes.

  • The Application fee can be submitted either online or offline. 
  • Online payment can be made by using credit cards or debit cards.
  •  
  • Now, if you’re going with offline mode then, you have to fill the IBPS application form.
  •  
  • After this, you have to click on ‘Offline’ button that lies at the end of the form. Once you click on the button, then IBPS will register your application for the exam and will provide you login credentials, consisting of a unique password and registration number.

  • Next, take print out of computer generated challan. 
  • The Challan is required to be taken to any IBPS designated centre, where it will get sealed by the authority against the cash payment.

 

The application fee for General category candidates is Rs 450 (rupees four hundred and fifty only) and for SC/ST candidates is Rs 50 (rupees fifty only).

  1. Common Written Exam (CWE) IBPS Common Written Exam (IBPS CWE) is an Objective type question paper which will be conducted online.

This exam contains 200 marks with duration of 02 hours. There will be Negative marking also for every wrong Answer 0.25 marks

Each Student required to the get minimum score to qualify for the Second Stage for Interview. IBPS CWE Exam Consists five different Sections that are Reasoning, English, Quantitative Aptitude, General Knowledge and Computer Knowledge. See details below.

IBPS Common Interview – Candidates who have been qualified IBPS PO MT CWE 2017 they will be called for Interview to be directed by the Participating Organizations and composed by the Nodal Bank in each one State/ UT with the assistance of IBPS. Meetings will be led at select focuses. The interview will be conducted at the selected Interview Centers.
